I started posting about my AI work publicly two years ago. It was terrifying.

My first technical post got 12 views. My second got 8. My imposter syndrome screamed: "Who are you to teach anyone anything?"

I kept posting anyway. Mostly about things I was learning, mistakes I'd made, and problems I'd solved.

Month 3: a recruiter reached out based on a post about RAG optimization.
Month 6: a speaking invitation from a tech meetup.
Month 9: a consulting client who said "I've been following your posts."
Year 1: my content had reached enough people that opportunities came to me instead of me chasing them.

Building in public works for AI engineers because the field moves so fast that EVERYONE is learning. Your "beginner" insight about fine-tuning is valuable to someone two weeks behind you.

The format that works: "I tried X. Here's what happened. Here's what I learned." Simple. Honest. No pretending to be an expert on day one.

Start before you're ready. Post before it's perfect. Share while you're still learning.

The only people who never get criticized for sharing their work are the ones who never share it. And they're invisible.
