A marketing team I worked with was spending $15,000/month on content creation.

We built an AI pipeline that reduced it to $3,000/month while increasing output by 3x.

Not by replacing writers. By augmenting them.

The pipeline: AI generates first drafts based on briefs and brand guidelines. Human writers edit, add voice, and ensure quality. AI handles SEO optimization and formatting. Humans do final review and approval.

Writer time per article went from 6 hours to 2 hours. The writers focus on what humans do best — creativity, voice, nuance — and AI handles the tedious parts.

The key to making this work: fine-tuning on the brand's existing content. A generic LLM writes generic content. A model trained on your brand's voice, terminology, and style writes content that sounds like you.

We fine-tuned Llama on 500 existing articles from the brand. The drafts it generates now need minimal editing because they already match the tone and vocabulary.

What didn't work: fully automated content with no human review. The quality was inconsistent, factual errors crept in, and it lacked the spark that human creativity provides.

The sweet spot is human-AI collaboration, not human replacement. Faster, cheaper, more volume, with human quality control.

This is the content creation model that actually works in practice.
